About Blue House

Blue House was originally built for a family who grew up here in Lutsen, Minnesota on Ski Hill Road with Lutsen Mountains' Bridge Run running right behind the home.

After an extensive renovation in 2023, it is now available to rent year-round for families and friends who love the North Shore. From a premium chef's kitchen to the large open game room, this home has it all! And now, it's even better!

Blue House is located just off Ski Hill Road and within walking distance to Lutsen Mountains Ski Resort. Making this the perfect year-round destination for your family's next trip to Lake Superior's North Shore. The house provides everything needed to enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities.

There is an expansive deck, with an enclosed heated area, and a large gas grill. The entire deck provides breathtaking views of Lake Superior and Moose Mountain from its premium mountaintop location. Below the deck is a fire pit.

Inside you will find wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling windows facing Moose Mountain, inviting in the outdoors. The spacious living space is open and welcoming. It features a chef's kitchen, dining room, and a living room with a unique stone-surround fireplace, perfect for those cold winter nights. The timber frame game room is separate from the living room. Here you will find a ping pong table, a foosball table, a craft table, and a closet full of games giving many options while relaxing at home.Each area of the home allows for both privacy and groups of people to gather.

There are 4 bedrooms, each with an attached bathroom. The bedrooms are spread out throughout the house. You will find one on the main level, one off the game room, and two on each end of the upper level. This gives each bedrooms a private a sense of privacy, like having your own sanctuary in this spacious home.

Blue House is ski-in/ski-out to Lutsen Mountains for advanced skiers only. Other skiers will want to walk the short distance to Bridge Run and access the ski hill from down the road.

Area Information

As far as location goes, The Blue House is so close to Lutsen Mountains Ski Area that you can walk there. For the downhill skier/snowboarder, it is perfectly situated on Eagle Mountain where a 2-minute walk puts you right on Bridge Run. For the nonskier, this house is still close to everything—just minutes from the Superior Hiking Trail, a short walk brings you right to the heart of Lutsen Mountain Ski Resort. And that’s just the beginning.

During the summer months, you have easy access to the Alpine Slide, sightseeing gondola, and miles and miles of hiking trails. Should you get the urge to venture out from the immediate area, you will find you are a short drive away from many North Shore destinations. Within a 20-mile drive, you will find waterfalls, scenic overlooks, historical markers, and the quaint town of Lutsen.

Just 30 miles away is Grand Marais, great for a day of shopping and dining in wonderful ma and pa stores and restaurants.

The North Shore has a lot to offer and The Blue House is right in the middle of the action.
