About Foxfire and Fox Cove

The Foxes consist of two separate properties rented together: Foxfire and Fox Cove. These two homes are located on the same property just 30 feet apart from each other on the popular Cascade Beach Road in Lutsen, Minnesota near the Cascade River. Built on the site of the old Bob’s North Shore Cabins, this location is a North Shore gem. 

Enjoy everything that the Lake Superior shoreline has to offer at this spacious, luxury home and its cozy guest cabin. Wood steps lead to 300 feet of ledge rock shoreline for your enjoyment. Skip rocks or just sit on the shoreline with a good book and listen to the waves roll in during the summer months. During the November Gales, you will be amazed by the show the Lake puts on! Waves of 20-30 feet can be spotted regularly this time of the year.

Please note that by booking through this listing you are booking both Foxfire and Fox Cove together. The maximum occupancy in Foxfire is 8 and 3 in Fox Cove for a total of 11 guests. If you do not need this much space, you can rent each property separately. If you rent the properties separately there may be another party in the other cabin during your stay. The listed amenities are combined between the two properties and all amenities may not be featured in both homes.

The two cabins are about 30 feet apart and are the perfect vacation rentals for a large family or family reunion. Each cabin has its own parking area and private entry. The two cabins share 300 feet of private Lake Superior shoreline for you to enjoy during your stay here.

About Foxfire

Foxfire is the luxury main home on this property. It boasts four spacious bedrooms and three full bathrooms spread out over two stories. Just a few of the amenities are a large common room with flat-screen TV and lake view, a large stone fireplace, well-equipped kitchen, a spacious lake-facing deck, tootsie-warming in-floor heat, and lots of windows for lake gazing.

Guests rave about the master bedroom suite in this home. The suite features a sleeping area, attached bathroom, walk-in closet, and a dedicated office space for those who still need to work while at Foxfire. You are bound to have a memorable vacation at Foxfire.

About Fox Cove

Enjoy the sublime location of Fox Cove and the comfort of this cozy, well-equipped one-story cottage. Wood and stone create a cabin feel, while high-quality stainless steel appliances add to the environment of both comfort and quality. Beautiful ledge rock shoreline, dining nook with lake view, comfortable beds, and convenient location are just a few of the reasons you will love Fox Cove.

While smaller in size, Fox Cove is packed full of charm and character. The renovated kitchen and bright seating area with Lake Superior views are guest favorites! The cabin features two bedrooms and one bathroom on one level.

Please note that access to the cabin from the dedicated parking area is via an exterior staircase that may be difficult for some people to manage. However, as you are renting both homes, access via Foxfire is much easier, especially in the winter months.

Coming during the winter months? The driveway is very steep and can get very icy, even with regular sanding and maintenance. 4-wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended during the winter months at this property.

Located on Cascade Beach Road, a popular vacation destination near the town of Lutsen on Lake Superior's North Shore. The Lutsen area offers everything from miles of hiking and biking trails to the Midwest's premier downhill skiing destination - Lutsen Mountains. Head up during the summer months, as well, to enjoy the alpine slide and take a scenic gondola ride up to Moose Mountain Summit where you can enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Superior. Cascade State Park is just a couple of miles away and features a gorgeous waterfall following a short, easy hike. You are also just a short drive away from several restaurants (some only open in the summer months) and quaint, locally-owned shops located nearby.
