Not to mention a cozy reading nook off of the kitchen. This home truly has so much to offer inside, but just as much outside! Take a stroll on your private lakeside boardwalk! The outdoor area really makes the house shine! The home sits on over 200 feet of shoreline, with over 100 feet being easily accessible through a series of steps and boardwalks right down to the ledge rock. Light a fire in the shoreside fire pit and just enjoy a relaxing getaway in this beautiful and private setting. Security Camera Alert: Security cameras are present at this property. There are two cameras- one facing the driveway on the front of the garage and one facing the front door on the side of the garage. These cameras are for security purposes when the home is vacant. While they will still be on during your stay, they are not used to monitor you.

Area Information

Stone's Throw Retreat is located in Tofte, Minnesota, close to many of the North Shore's most popular attractions. The beautiful Oberg Mountain Scenic Overlook and Hiking Trail, a must-see during leaf change season, is just a short drive away. Head down the shore just a couple of miles and check out Temperance River State Park. Or, head up the shore and you will find Cascade River State Park. Both State Parks are great for hiking and enjoying some beautiful waterfalls. The Gitchi Gami Bike Trail runs along Highway 61- you can hop on it right from Stone's Throw Retreat! The trail is enjoyed by bikers and walkers alike, taking a scenic ride or stroll along Lake Superior's shoreline. The Lutsen Mountains recreation area is just 10-miles away and offers both winter and summer activities, including downhill skiing, the alpine slide, and a scenic gondola up to the Moose Mountain Summit. Enjoy the many restaurants and live music offered year-round on the mountain, as well. There is much to do just a 30-minute drive away in Grand Marais, as well. Enjoy lots of Ma and Pa stores and restaurants you won't find elsewhere. More unique stores and restaurants can be found in Lutsen and Tofte, as well.
